Türkçe Firefox 1.5 altında sorunsuzca çalıştığı test edilmiştir.

Çevrimiçi kurulum

Burada eklenti doğrudan sayfadan kurulur. Yapmanız gereken tek şey eklenti kurma bağlantısına tıklayıp açılacak penceredeki Kur düğmesine basmaktır. Dikkat etmeniz gereken nokta kurulumun gerçekleşeceği konuma gerekli izni vermiş olmanızdır. Bu izni Araçlar > Seçenekler > İçerik bölümündeki yazılım kurulumuna ilişkin ayarlardan verebilirsiniz. Aksi takdirde kurulum gerçekleşmez.



Çevrimdışı kurulum

Aslında en kolay ve karmaşık olmayan yöntemdir. Eklenti indirme bağlantısına sağ tıklanarak XPI dosyası bilgisayara kaydedilir. İstediğiniz eklentiyi ilgili siteden alarak kurulumu gerçekleştirebilirsiniz. JAR uzantılı dosyalar da buna benzer bir yolla kurulabilir. Diyelim ki herhangi bir XPI dosyasını bilgisayarınıza kaydettiniz. Aşağıdaki yöntemlerle kurulumu gerçekleştirebilirsiniz:

Firefox ve Mozilla altında kurulum:

Dosya > Aç yolunu takip edin.

Açılan menüden bilgisayarınıza indirdiğiniz XPI dosyasını seçin.

Tamam düğmesine basarak devam edin.

Kurulum sonunda hata uyarısı almazsanız kurulum başarıyla tamamlanmış demektir.

Her eklenti kurulumundan sonra eklentinin etkin olabilmesi için kullandığınız programı (Mozilla, Firefox, Thunderbird) yeniden başlatmanız gerekmektedir. Yeniden başlatmadan önce programa ait tüm pencereleri kapatmayı da unutmayın.

Version 0.94.2 adds the ability to keep directories in sync and greatly improved drag-and-drop support. Version 0.97.1 includes unspecified updates or bug fixing release.

FireFTP gives you the power of a top-notch FTP client from within your Firefox browser. It can handle multiple accounts and remember different logins, passwords, and connection settings for each. It supports authenticated TSL, authenticated SSL, and implicit SSL for secure transfers, drag and drop, and CHMOD changes. The plug-in works across platforms, lets users import and export account settings, and supports directory comparisons and synchronization, time-stamp syncing, file hashes, and auto-reconnect.
Setting up the program is as easy as using it. It's accessible either from Tools in the menu bar or you can add a FireFTP icon to the toolbar via customization options. You can also set the program to open in a new window or in a new tab, and it ran conflict-free with other major Firefox extensions like Tab Mix Plus, AdBlock Plus, or FoxyTunes.
Most surprisingly, it didn't cause any system sluggishness or freezes, nor did it instigate a massive memory leak of the kind that Firefox has become known for. There are, however, a few drawbacks. Windows Vista support has been spotty, and because of Firefox limitations, the app can't transfer files larger than 4GB, nor can it access network folders.
